Biography

In 1997, after several years in the planning, professional magician Chris Pilsworth independently produced and starred in his own theatrical magic show. Entitled: 'Disappearing Nightly', the mystery and magic of this highly entertaining premier production featured many never-seen-before illusions, music, dance and drama. The show was booked for six performances at the Ron Maslin Playhouse in Kanata, Ontario. Night after night, Chris and the cast received standing ovations and rave reviews.

Chris Pilsworth was born in Toronto, Ontario, but has lived most of his life in Ottawa, Canada's capital. His enthusiasm for magic was sparked at the age of twelve, when he attended a magic show at Ottawa's National Arts Centre. The interest continued unabated throughout high school and university. Earning his degree (with distinction) in Industrial Design from Carleton University in Ottawa has greatly enhanced Chris' ability to create unique props and illusions. After graduating in 1986, Chris decided to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time professional magician.

Chris has entertained thousands of satisfied customers. As a result of his unique, friendly and very personal approach to the performance of magic, he has become well-known and highly respected throughout Ontario and Western Quebec. Whether the event takes place at the Governor General's Garden Party, the Canadian Museum of Civilization or the opening festivities of the Corel Centre, home of the Ottawa Senators hockey team, Chris wows his audiences.
